I am really excited you plan to make a move to San Diego County.
San Diego and the surrounding area has some of the most temperate climates in the world with an average temperatures ranging from 48º to 77º. In other words, it doesn't snow anywhere near the coast in San Diego.
The most rain we get is in February and that average is 2.35 inches. You can pretty much enjoy outdoor activities year round... Can we say BBQ?

San Diego County geographic's range from beach to mountains to desert - from suburban to rural to urban neighborhoods. There are mountainous areas, orchards and vineyards.
There are times you can surf in the morning and play in the snow in the afternoon (snow in the mountains that is).
There is a large variety of industries and commercial services, pretty much anything you can possibly think of.
