Tom Bivins Teton Valley Real Estate
Working Non-stop To Save You Time And Money

Personal Bio

Tom was raised in Huntington Beach and graduated there from Edison High School. He went to Orange Coast Community College and graduated with an AA degree in Business Administration. He then went to Long Beach State for 1 1/2 years before transferring to Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff where he graduated and earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Fine Arts.

During the years that Tom attended NAU in Flagstaff, he worked in the restaurant and hospitality business to help pay for college expenses. After graduation, he worked as the Director of Food & Beverage for a hotel in Sedona. While in Sedona, he was offered a teaching job at Yavapai Community College in Clarkdale, a nearby suburb of Sedona. He taught there for five years.

When his teaching contract was up, he decided to take a job offer back in the hotel-restaurant industry. He worked in Acquisition and Developement in Sedona, Brain Head, Utah and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. While working in Jackson Hole, and living in Teton Valley, Idaho his mother became ill and he decided to move back to Southern California to be closer to her.

Through the years, Tom had developed a love for living in the mountains and he enjoyed four seasons, so it was only natural that he began investigating how he could stay in Southern California and be able to live in the mountains. His family used to own a cabin in Big Bear and Tom had wonderful memories of spending time here when he was growing up. He soon decided that Big Bear would now become his home and he also decided to get his real estate license. His mother had owned a large escrow company in Newport Beach for many years and she had been encouraging him for years to get his license because she thought he'd love real estate and he'd be successful. Mother's intuition. She was right!

Tom, his wife Karin, and their daughter moved to Big Bear and Tom promptly went to work as a real estate agent. He had been working at Realty Executives prior to joining RE/MAX in 2005.

In 2007, after the passing of Tom's mother and later his wife Karin's mother. Tom and his family decided to move back to the Teton Valley in Idaho. Tom put his Idaho real estate license to work for an on site golf course resort real estate company as a listing coordinator. After honoring a one year commitment to the position Tom decided to get back to what he loves most. Practicing real estate on his own terms.

Tom has a passion for all mountain sports from skiing to mountain bikes and he loves helping others find the perfect Teton Valley home to buy so they can start enjoying mountain life too. His enthusiasm is contagious and customers really enjoy the time they get to spend with him.

Tom is at the "Diamond T Realty" office in Victor, Idaho. You can call him there at 208-787-2964.
